How can I check my e-mail?
You can check your e-mail a few different ways. The easiest way to check your Info Link
e-mail is to use WebMail. If you have
Outlook Express, Netscape Messenger, Eudora, or another e-mail program on your computer, you
can use them to check your e-mail as well. See how to set up Info Link e-mail on some common e-mail clients
What is WebMail?
WebMail is a web-based e-mail program. You can check your e-mail using Info Link's WebMail.
All of your messages are stored on WebMail, and you can read them from any computer that has
access to the Internet! In WebMail, you have the ability to read e-mails, reply to e-mails,
compose new e-mails, send and receive attachments, maintain your own personal address book, and
store your e-mail in different folders. To check your e-mail using Info Link's WebMail, click

How is WebMail different from Outlook Express or another Mail Reading program?
WebMail stores your e-mail messages on the Internet, and you are able to read your e-mail
messages from any computer with Internet access. Mail Reading programs such as Outlook Express,
Netscape Messenger and Eudora take your e-mail messages out of WebMail and save them directly
to your computer. Once you have received your e-mail using a Mail Reading program, you can
only read those e-mails on your computer.
Why won't my e-mail send?
If you are getting errors sending e-mail, first check to make sure that you are logging onto
the Internet. Then check to make sure that you are typing the e-mail addresses correctly.
Incorrect e-mails in the "To," "CC," or "BCC" fields will yield errors before the message is sent.
If you are typing everything correctly, check your settings to verify that the incoming and
outgoing mail servers are correct.
Is your username and password entered correctly in your mail program? You username should not have "@info-link.net" on the end of it
Are the mail server names configured correctly? Both the incoming (or POP) server and the outgoing (or SMTP) server should be mail.info-link.net.
Why can't I receive my e-mail?
If you cannot receive e-mail, first check to make sure that you are logging onto the Internet.
Then check your settings to verify that the incoming and outgoing mail servers are correct. Make
sure that your username and password are correct, and that you are not using Secure Password
Authentication on the connection.

If your messages still won't come in, you may have a very large e-mail in your account that your
E-mail program will not download. Try logging into Info Link's
WebMail to check your e-mail. Once in WebMail,
you can read and delete the large message so your e-mail is able to get to your computer again.
What does the message from Vexira mean?
All of the e-mail that you send and receive through your info-link e-mail address goes through
a virus scanner to make sure it is not infected. If an infected e-mail passes through the virus
scanner, the virus is removed from the e-mail. If you are sent an e-mail, or if you send an e-mail,
that is infected with a virus, you will receive an additional e-mail from Vexira informing
you who has the virus and which e-mail was infected with it. For more information on Info Link's
e-mail virus scanning, see the
Spring 2004 Informer Articles.
What does a message from MAILER-DAEMON mean?
The MAILER-DAMEON is a computer program responsible for managing email. Your email program
communicates with the MAILER-DAEMON to send email out across the Internet. If everything goes
well, you will never receive messages from MAILER-DAEMON. But when things go wrong, MAILER-DAEMON
politely sends you a message alerting you to the errors. For more information of MAILER-DAEMON
messages, see the Mail
returned from MAILER-DAEMON article.
